About Crime and Justice
Crime and Justice is a unique website that collates and delivers a vast amount of crime and criminal justice news frequently throughout the day, every day, providing a single source of the latest crime and criminal justice news.
Frequent updates
Stories are added many times during the day, not just office hours, seven days a week, comprehensively covering England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Because Crime and Justice focuses solely on crime and criminal justice news we have often published many major news stories before established broadcasters and media outlets.
Focused and effective
Since its conception in late September 2012, interest has been such that after just six months the website boasted over 50,000 views per month. Its success is due to its simplicity and the quantity of articles. There is no registration/data-capture required to view stories and there are no annoying popups. Its purpose is to deliver crime and criminal justice news in a speedy fashion, and that is exactly what it does.
Sources
Articles are sourced from police forces, government organisations and practitioners involved with the criminal justice system, as well as our own sources. Submissions are also welcomed - if you think you have a story suited to the website’s subject area, email press@crimeandjustice. co.uk.
Features
A redesign in May 2013 saw the addition of UK Police Tweets. Crime and Justice consolidates tweets from Police forces in every UK region (as defined by ACPO) and provides a live feed of each, as well as one main feed for all Police forces. These feeds can be viewed on the Crime and Justice website at ukcri.me/ policetweets or subscribed to via Twitter.
Several other features are still in development, promising to add to the website’s usefulness for anyone interested – on any level – in crime and criminal justice news.
