November 4, 2014, 5:55 pm

Police investigating the death of a Birmingham man have arrested two teenagers on suspicion of assault.

The 54-year-old was found dead at his home address in Dudnill Grove, Bartley Green around 8am on Sunday morning (2 November) after being assaulted the previous day.

The results of a post mortem were inconclusive, however it found that the man had not died as a result of his injuries. Further forensic tests will be carried out to establish the cause of death.

A 17-year-old from Bartley Green and an 18-year-old from Weston-Super-Mare were arrested this morning on suspicion of assaulting the man and are continuing to help detectives with their enquiries.

Detective Inspector Martin Slevin from Force CID said: “The assault is believed to have taken place near to parkland in Long Nuke Road by three men. I would still like to hear from anyone who witnessed the attack or who saw a man walking with a woman along Long Nuke Road in the early hours of Saturday 1 November.”
