Second arrest in Carshalton rape investigation

Police investigating the rape of a 15-year-old in Carshalton have made a further arrest.
The man, [B] aged 23, was arrested this morning (20 November) on suspicion of rape. He remains in custody at a south London police station.
Officers were called at around 20:30hrs on Saturday, 15 November after the incident which took place in Grove Park, Carshalton.

The victim was taken to a Haven where she is being provided with the support of specially trained staff.
The suspect, who was not known to the victim, is described as a black man, aged in his late 20s or early 30s, of broad build and approximately 5ft 10inches tall. He was described as wearing a black hooded jacket and shorts.
