November 19, 2014, 4:08 pm

Merseyside Police can confirm that five of the six aluminium flasks containing the chemical ‘Phostoxin’ have now been recovered.

Police were alerted by a member of the public yesterday (Tuesday, 18 November) at around 5.40 pm of a safe and canisters left in Bebington Cemetery.

Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service and police attended and recovered the canisters and safe.

Officers from the Matrix Serious and Organised Crime Team today have conducted a further search of the area.

One canister remains outstanding.

Police areĀ urging anyone who has any information or knows of the whereabouts of the sixth canister to find a way of returning it to either the police or the fire service.
