Police Scotland Operation over alleged fraudulent acquisition of Rangers FC

Following a Police Scotland operation on Friday 14 November 2014, four men have been arrested and are presently detained in police custody in connection with the ongoing investigation into the alleged fraudulent acquisition of Rangers FC in 2011.

Around 0600 hours officers from Police Scotland, assisted by officers from Thames Valley, Cheshire Police and Surrey Police attended at a number of addresses in England and detained four men.  They have now been arrested and are currently detained in police custody.

A 50 year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged involvement in a fraudulent scheme to acquire Rangers FC and alleged offences in contravention of the Companies Act (2006).

A 53 year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged involvement in a fraudulent scheme to acquire Rangers FC and alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice.

A 50 year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged involvement in a fraudulent scheme to acquire Rangers FC and alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice

A 49 year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged involvement in a fraudulent scheme to acquire Rangers FC and alleged attempt to pervert the course of justice

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
