Murder investigation launched in Southend after double stabbing

Police have launched a murder enquiry after two men were stabbed at an address in Southend.

Officers were called with reports of two men with serious injuries at a property in St Anns Road just after 10.30pm on Wednesday, November 19.

One man was declared dead at the scene, the other has been taken by ambulance to hospital with stab wounds. He is in a critical condition.

St Anns Road has been closed and forensic examinations of the scene are continuing.

DCI Simon Werrett said: “I would urge anybody who has information about this murder to contact the investigation team at Southend. If you were in St Ann’s Road between 10pm and 11pm and saw a group of men running please contact us. If you do not wish to speak to the police then contact Crimestoppers.”
