Man charged with robbery at two Kent banks

A man has been charged in connection with two bank robberies in Hythe and Maidstone.

Martyn Weldrick, 44, of Ormonde Road in Hythe, has been charged with two counts of robbery and has been remanded in custody to appear via video link at Medway Magistrates Court today, Wednesday 5 November.

The charges relate to two robberies at NatWest banks – the first in High Street, Hythe, on Wednesday 1 October, and the second in Heath Road, Coxheath, on Monday 3 November.
