Four men arrested by Counter Terrorism Command

Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) have arrested four men overnight [Thursday, 6 November going into Friday, 7 November] on suspicion of being concerned in the Commission, Preparation or Instigation of acts of Terrorism (contrary to section 40(1)(b) of the Terrorism Act 2000).
Three men – [A – 22ys; B – 19ys; C – 25ys] – were arrested after warrants were executed at addresses in west London and Thames Valley. [D – 27ys] was arrested in the street in west London by armed officers.
They have all been taken to police stations in central London and remain in custody.

Two of the entries to premises were assisted by firearms officers. No shots were fired.
A number of residential addresses and vehicles are being searched by specialist officers in west London and Thames Valley as part of the investigation.
These arrests and searches are part of an ongoing investigation into Islamist related terrorism.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service’s Counter Terrorism Command (SO15) are working closely with their colleagues in the SE Counter Terrorism Unit and MI5.
The searches are ongoing, enquiries continue.
