Eight charged with fraud offences across London

Eight people have been charged with fraud offences as part of a police investigation into a nationwide fraud scam.

Five men and three women from across the country, were charged by Suffolk Police on Wednesday, 19 November with a total of 19 offences relating to fraud.

Daniel Frank, 37, from Ilford, has been charged with seven counts of fraud offences and one count of converting criminal property. The alleged offences are believed to have taken place between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2013.

Lawrence Siaw, 40, from Rotherham, was charged with three counts of fraud offences which allegedly took place between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2013.

Amiruz Zaman, 36, from London was charged with one count of conspiring to commit fraud by false representation between 30 September 2013 and 31 October 2013.

Claire Leslie, 29, Katie Leslie, 24, and Amy Hodgson, 27, all from Southend-on-Sea in Essex have each been charged with one count of conspiring to commit fraud by abuse of position between 1 January 2013 and 31 July 2013.

Romario Gentile, 24, from London has been charged with four offences relating to fraud between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2013.

Hamza Ahmed, 35, from London, has been charged with one count of conspiring to commit fraud by false representation between 1 January 2013 and 31 December 2013.

All eight are due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates Court on 11 December 2014.
