David Maxwell murder investigation youth charged

A second person has been charged with a murder of a teenager in Southwark in October.

A 17-year-old youth from Southwark SE1 appeared in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 15 November, charged with the murder of David Maxwell, 18.

He was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 18 November.

Ronnie Atuqiya, 20 (17.5.94) of Second Avenue, Dagenham appeared in custody at the Old Bailey on 7 November charged with the murder of David Maxwell in Southwark.

Both ‘B’ and ‘C’ have been remanded in custody to appear for a plea and case management hearing at the Old Bailey on 23 January 2015.

A provisional trial date of 20 April 2015 has been set.
