November 5, 2014, 2:14 pm

Police have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to after a woman was assaulted in the female toilets at a Coventry leisure centre.

The woman was assaulted by a man in a cubicle in Mercia Park Leisure Centre in Foleshill around 1.30pm on Sunday 16 February.

Since the assault was reported police have trawled CCTV, spoken to the centres users and staff in a bid to identify the man they want to speak to, but have been unsuccessful, so they are now turning to the public to help trace him.

The man is described as light coloured and Asian with a small chubby build, aged around 29 and 5 feet 4 ins tall with a bald head. He was wearing a light grey hooded top with light blue jeans and a gold ring on his left hand.

PC Leon McIntosh is investigating the assault. He said: “Although this incident happened a few months ago, we have been making every effort to identify the offender. We are now seeking help from the public to bring him to justice.”

Anyone with information is asked to call PC McIntosh on 101 or alternatively information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
