Appeal following cash in transit robbery

The Flying Squad are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery on a cash in transit van in Sydenham.

Just after 14:30hrs on Monday, 10 November a Loomis custodian was attacked by a lone suspect who barged him to the ground and stole the cash box he was carrying.

The incident happened outside Sports Direct in Bell Green Road, Sydenham, and the suspect ran off in the direction of Bell Green Lane.

He is described as a black man, aged in his early 20s and 6ft 2ins. He was wearing a black top with the hood up and a Beanie-style hat underneath. He also had on black jogging bottoms, black trainers and black gloves.

The male custodian was treated by the London Ambulance Service at the scene for minor injuries to his knee and elbow.
