York man charged after attack on woman who was followed home

Detectives investigating an assault on a woman in York after she was followed home form work, have arrested and charged a 22-year-old York man.

The man was arrested on the evening of Monday 27 October 2014 and has today (28 October) been charged with attempted rape.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at York Magistrates Court on Wednesday 29 October 2014.
