Northern Ireland detectives granted extra time to question Manchester man

Detectives from Organised Crime Branch investigating the supply of controlled drugs into Northern Ireland have been granted an additional 36 hours to question a 32 year old man arrested in the Manchester area on Tuesday. He is being questioned at Antrim police station.

Nine suspects were arrested in Northern Ireland and the Manchester area on Tuesday. Seven have been charged with a range of drugs offences and one has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service. The investigation is linked to six drugs seizures in Northern Ireland over the past year worth more than £2 million.
