October 20, 2014, 1:24 pm

Police are appealing for information after a shed burglary in Northumberland.

It happened between 7pm on Saturday, October 18, and 8.45am on Sunday, October 19, just off the B6341 in Thropton, when a garden shed was broken into and a motorbike stolen from inside.

The bike is a 600cc silver CCM motorcycle with a 2004 registration.

Damage was also caused to a van at the property, although nothing was stolen.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who knows the whereabouts of the stolen motorbike, to contact them on 101 ext 69191, quoting reference 477 19/10/14, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The appeal comes during Northumbria Police’s operation Soundwave, aimed at tackling opportunist thieves and burglars across the force and promoting crime prevention advice.
