On 15 October 2014, police were made aware that a 27-year-old woman had been admitted to hospital for treatment to multiple injuries.

She remains in a serious but stable condition.

“At present we are treating this as a domestic related incident and a man has been arrested and subsequently bailed as part of our investigation.

“Domestic violence is an abhorrent crime and raising awareness of this issue and bringing those who commit these acts to justice is a top priority for GMP.

“If anyone knows anything in relation to this incident that they think can help our investigation I would encourage them to call us.

“I would also encourage victims of domestic abuse or those who know of someone who might be subjected to such offending is going on to help end the fear and call us in complete confidence.”
