Barry Police net drugs haul in double raid

Three people have been arrested after police carried out drugs raids in the town.

The first raid was carried out last Friday in Main Street where approximately £3000 worth of heroin was recovered. 24-year-old Curtis Lee Jones has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. A 23-year-old male has been bailed pending further enquiries.

The same day, a 35 year old man was arrested an address in Treharne Road  for possession with intent to supply cannabis and possession of cocaine, he has been released on police bail.

Detective Sergeant Julian Kerslake said: “We are committed to keeping people safe, and this includes removing drugs from our local communities.

“We welcome any new information from the public regarding drug dealers operating in local communities, and we will always act upon any intelligence we receive regarding individuals involved in this type of activity.”
