Police are appealing for information relating to a serious assault on a man in Burton.

The incident took place between 5.30 and 6.30 pm on Saturday 4 October on Queen Street when three people, possibly two men and a woman, carried out the assault on a 52-year-old man from Burton. He sustained a fractured nose and cheekbone and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Anyone with any information is asked to ring Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 866 of 4 October.
