Woman arrested following kidnapping

Police have arrested a woman following a kidnapping in Ipswich on Monday 4 March.

Officers executed two warrants at properties in the town this morning, Friday 8 March. One of which, a property in Purplett Street, is believed to be the address the victim was taken too.

A 23-year-old woman from Ipswich was arrested this morning on suspicion of conspiracy to kidnap and has been taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.

Following the incident a man, who is in his twenties, was taken to hospital with burn injuries but has since been released.

Police continue to investigate the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact Ipswich CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
