Robbery – Newmarket

Police in Newmarket are appealing for information following a robbery in the town on Friday 8 March.

The incident happened between 5.15pm and 5.30pm. A 33-year-old woman was walking along a footpath in Victoria Way, Newmarket when she was approached from behind by a person on a pushbike.

The person grabbed her handbag from her shoulder before cycling off.

The person was riding a dark coloured mountain bike and wore a dark hooded top with green stripes running down the arms and blue jeans.

The bronze coloured leather handbag, which was stolen, contained an iPhone, iPad, dark green wallet containing cash and a passport.
