Police release images in connection with theft in Welwyn Garden City

Police are releasing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with
the theft which took place in Waitrose Car Park in Welwyn Garden City recently.

The incident took place at 11.50am on Monday (February 25). It is believed a man
approached a woman in the car park and asked for directions. Whilst the victim was
distracted it is believed a second man reached into her car and removed her purse from her
handbag. The men then made off with her bank cards.

Police would like to make people aware of this type of crime and also appeal for information
about the identity of the man pictured in the images. Officers would like to speak to him as he
could have information which could assist the investigation.
