Police are appealing for information following the theft of lead from a museum in Rotherham

On Friday, 8 March, employees at Clifton Park museum noticed that water was leaking in to the building due to the rain.

On investigating exactly where the water was coming from, they discovered a large quantity of lead was missing from the roof.

As the building is listed, the cost to replace the lead is estimated at around £70,000.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to call 101, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111, quoting incident number 204 of 8/3/2013.
