Police appeal for information following alleged sexual assault in Branton, Doncaster

At 11.40pm on Monday, 4 March, a 26-year-old woman was walking along Doncaster Road, Branton, in the direction of Cantley, when she was attacked by an unknown man.

As the woman walked towards the junction of Mill Lane, Branton, it is thought that she was grabbed by the man and subjected to a sexual assault.

Following the attack, the woman attempted to signal for help from a passing driver.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who may hold vital information to assist with the enquiry.

Officers would particularly like to trace the driver of a light coloured family sized car, which was travelling into Branton from Cantley at around midnight.

The woman has been described as wearing blue jeans and a black cardigan with a skull and crossbones motif.

Anyone with any information to assist with the enquiry is urged to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 144 of Tuesday, 5 March or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
