Photo and family statement of Dimitrina Borisova

The family of Dimitrina Borisova, a 46-year-old woman, who died after a stabbing incident in Gleadless Valley, Sheffield, on Thursday, 21 February have provided  the below family statement and photograph.

The family said: “We would like for people who knew Dimitrina to know that her family had always loved her unconditionally. We are deeply grieved for her loss and we admire her determination and fight for life. Despite the difficulties in her life, we have always supported her and believed in her. She was a very strong person, full of love and life. She was fighting for a better life for herself and the people she loved.”

The family were deeply touched by the memorial service held at Gleadless on Thursday, 28 February.

Detectives are working through the information supplied into the investigation in an attempt to piece together what happened. Should anyone have witnessed the offence who has not already been seen by detectives or have information that would assist the investigation, then please contact South Yorkshire Police on 101 – quoting incident 366 of 21 Feb 2013.
