Man charged following attack on Birmingham taxi driver

A man has been charged with wounding after an attack on a Birmingham taxi driver left him with severe head injuries.
The man handed himself into police after recognising himself on CCTV images released following the attack outside the Tap and Spile Pub at around 4am on Sunday 13 January.
The 20-year-old from Kings Norton was bailed to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday 15 March.

Two other men, whose CCTV images were also released at the same time, came forward and were released without charge.
The taxi driver was taken to hospital following the assault after suffering three bleeds on the brain. He has now been discharged but continues to suffer from his injuries which have made a drastic change to his day to day life.
