Indecent assault in Turves Green

Officers in Birmingham are investigating two reports of indecent assaults on teenage girls yesterday morning (5 March) in Laburnum Way and Hawkesley Drive, Longbridge.
Both incidents happened between 7.40am and 8.15am when the victims were approached by a man described as being white, 5’10” – 6′ tall, of slim build and aged 18 – 19 years. He was wearing grey jogging bottoms and a black hoody with white stripes.
On both occasions the victims were approached from behind, assaulted and the man ran off.

Patrols have been increased in the area, while enquiries continue to identify the suspect.
Police are also working with the local school to share information and provide personal safety advice to students.
Incidents of this nature are rare across Birmingham and we would like to reassure local residents and parents that we are taking this matter extremely seriously.
