35yr old Essesx man murdered after a night out

Police are investigating the death of a man in Grays this morning as murder and appealing for information and witnesses.

A 35 year old man was out with friends at the Euro Lounge in Grays last night, Saturday. Police believe he was assaulted outside in the car park area near Morrisons supermarket on London Road in the early hours of this morning.

The man was taken to Queens Hospital in Romford with a serious head injury, from which he sadly died. His family have been informed.

Police urgently need to speak to any witnesses who were in the club or saw the assault in the car park which took place around 2.30am Sunday (March 10).

Det Chief Insp Simon Parkes said: “This investigation is in its early stages. A man has died and I need to capture those responsible for his death. If you have any information please contact detectives at Grays on 101 or you can give information anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
