GBH; High Street

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault which left a man with facial injuries.

A 49-year-old man was standing outside Fattys Bar in High Street, Hadleigh on Sunday, March 10, 2013 when he was approached by a man and hit in the face with a glass at around 5.50pm.

The victim, who lives locally, suffered a cut to the left side of his face.

A 23-year-old man from Leigh-on-Sea has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and released on bail pending further enquiries until May 26, 2013.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could help police with their investigation is asked to call Pc Lewis Gordon at Rayleigh Police Station on 101.
