Distraction Burglary Appeal: Tamworth

Officers from Tamworth Local Policing Team (LPT) are appealing for witnesses following a burglary in Tamworth.

The incident happened on Friday 28 February at around 11am when a man knocked at the door of an elderly couple at an address in Hamble.

The man entered the property and after a conversation with the residents he left.

It was then discovered that a purse was missing containing a quantity of cash.

The man is described as white, aged 25 to 30 years, approximately 5ft 2in tall, of slim/medium build with blonde curly hair. He was wearing a jumper with a beige pattern on the front, blue jeans and had a local accent.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 293 of February 28. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
