Appeal for Information following reports of Attempted Robbery

Detectives in Grosvenor Road are appealing for information following the report of an attempted robbery in the Shaw’s Road area of Belfast yesterday, Thursday, 7 March.

At approximately 9.50am Police received a report that two males approached a delivery van and grabbed one of the delivery drivers and held him, threatening him if his colleague did not open the door of the van. They refused to open the door of the van and the two males then made off on foot empty handed.

The males are described as: (1) Approximately 27-29 years old, slim build, approximately 5’10” tall, slim face with stubble; (2) Approximately 29-31 years old, approximately 5’10” tall, stocky build with full face and clean shaven.

No one was injured during this incident however both men were left badly shaken.

Detectives would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Grosvenor Road on 0845 600 8000.
