Appeal for information following incident on waterside

We’re appealing for witnesses and information following an incident in which a cyclist was rescued from the waterside in Bristol.

At around 7.05 today (Wednesday March 6) we were called to the M shed to reports that a cyclist had fallen in the water.

Two members of the public entered the water to rescue him before emergency services arrived.

The man in was 40’s was rescued but unfortunately died at the scene.

Officers investigating this incident would like to speak to anyone who was in the area who may have seen the man prior to this incident or who witnessed it. Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101.
