Whitby murder investigation

North Yorkshire Police are carrying out a murder investigation into the death of a Whitby man on Friday 22 February 2013.

Police were called to a domestic disturbance by the ambulance service at 11.25pm, following reports that a 32-year-old man had suffered serious chest injuries.

Officers attended the scene of the incident at a property in Spring Hill Court, Whitby, where sadly the man was pronounced dead by ambulance staff a short time later.

A 22-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in police custody for questioning.

A scene guards remains in place as police continue their investigations into the mans death. The road has also been closed in the area of the property as officers carry out searches as part of the investigation.

We are not yet in a position to release any further information at this time.
