Wandsworth victim named

A murder investigation is underway after the death of a teenager in
South London.

Police were alerted by London Ambulance Service at around 0130hrs on
Sunday, 17 February, to a youth stabbed in Wandsworth.

The victim was at a ground floor stairwell at a block of flats – Albon
House in Neville Gill Close SW18. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Although we await formal identification, we are satisfied the victim was
Peter Hagan [17.5.96 – 16 ys]

A post-mortem examination was scheduled for Sunday 17 February and will
recommence later today (Monday 18 February).

A murder investigation has been launched. An incident room has opened at
Sutton under Detective Chief Inspector Nick Scola of the Homicide &
Serious Crime Command.

+ Nine people have been arrested in connection with the inquiry, eight
have been bailed pending further enquiries and the ninth currently
remains in custody.
