Two arrested after disturbance

Police have arrested two men following a disturbance at a house in South Tyneside.

At just before 5pm on Monday, February 18, police received a report that there had been a disturbance at Eglesfield Road in South Shields. Officers attended and found a man, aged 36, had suffered cuts to his head and hands.

Following enquiries two men, aged 30 and 24, were arrested in connection with the incident. The 24-year-old has been bailed pending further enquiries while the other remains in custody helping with enquiries.

Police are carrying out enquiries to establish what has happened. At this stage it’s believed those involved are all known to each other.
