The court heard how the trio attacked a 35-year-old man as he walked along Hagley Road in Birmingham on 29 June last year.
They shot him in the face with the BB gun and then kicked and punched him to the floor before hitting him over the head with a wrench. They then stole his wallet and mobile phone and ran off.
The attack left the victim with a nasty head injury that required treatment at hospital.
All three were sentenced at a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday 15 February.
Detective Constable Neata Simpson, from Birmingham South CID, said: “Evans, Taylor and Arif carried out a vicious and prolonged attack on their victim that was completely unprovoked.
“They left a man in hospital with serious head injuries and all just to steal a wallet and a mobile phone.
“We will take strong action against anyone who commits this kind of violent crime and we hope these sentences will bring some comfort to the victim and his family.”
