Police release Image of man they are seeking

February 14, 2013, 4:55 pm

We have released a photo of a man we would like to speak to in connection with a possible attempted fraud at a shop in Wellington.

A man entered the Buy and Save store in Fore Street at about 3.20pm on Monday February 4. He wandered around the store and picked up two tins of paint and took them to the counter, where he asked for a refund.

When asked for the receipt he said he had called the store the previous week and was told that he could return the pots of paint without a receipt.

The suspect then said that he would ask his father if he had the receipt and then left the store leaving the paint behind.

We have released an image of a man who was in the shop that afternoon who might have useful information to help their enquiries.

We would like the man, or anyone recognising him, to contact police at Taunton on the force number 101 or on-line using the following linkhttp://www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact/crime_reporting/
