Police investigate theft of horse box

Leyburn police are investigating a theft from a farm in Gunnerside.

It occurred between 8.30pm on Saturday 9 February and 9.30am on Sunday 10 February 2013, when thieves stole a horsebox from a farm near the village.

The Rice horsebox, which is blue and white, is valued at around £1,600.

PC Michaela Godridge, of Leyburn Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw any suspicious activity in the village around the time of the theft, or may have seen the horsebox since it was stolen I urge you to contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.”
