Police investigate fight in Cambridge

POLICE are appealing for information from anyone who saw a fight taking place in Cambridge.

Reports of an altercation involving about six men, some possibly with weapons, came in at about 2.40pm yesterday (Wednesday).

It happened in the area of Woburn Close and moved to Kingsway Flats.

It is not clear what weapons were used, but a man received serious injuries and is in hospital.

Officers went to the scene and five men have been arrested.

Detective Sergeant Geoff Knight said: “This fight happened mid-afternoon and there would have been passing traffic so I would encourage anyone who was in the area at the time to get in touch.”
