New incident room number following the murder of Peter Hagan

Detectives have issued a new incident room number following the murder
of Peter Hagan in Wandsworth on Sunday 17 February.

An incident room has opened at Belgravia under Detective Chief Inspector
Steven Lawrence of the Homicide & Serious Crime Command.

Police were alerted by London Ambulance Service at around 0130hrs on
Sunday, 17 February, to a youth stabbed in Wandsworth.

The victim was at a ground floor stairwell at a block of flats – Albon
House in Neville Gill Close SW18. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Although we await formal identification, we are satisfied the victim was
Peter Hagan [17.5.96 – 16 ys]. Next of Kin have been informed.

A post-mortem examination began on Sunday 17 February and we understand
that it will resume in due course.

+On 17 February two men [A – 19ys; B – 51ys] and six women [C – 42ys; D
– 19ys; E – 18ys; F – 21ys; G – 21ys; H – 18ys] were arrested on
suspicion of murder. They have all been bailed to dates in March.

Later that day a 21-year-old man [I] was also arrested on suspicion of
murder. He currently remains in custody at a south London police
station.
