Murder in Clapton

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a murder in Clapton.

Two men were shot in Hindrey Road E5 at approx. 20.20hrs on Saturday 16 February.

The ambulance service attended and both men were taken to hospital –
Victim 1 [19 ys] died at hospital at approx. 23.10hrs.

A post-mortem will be scheduled in due course.

Victim 2 [32 ys] is understood to be in a stable condition.

Detectives from Trident are leading the inquiry and an incident room will open in the morning.

At this very early stage we must retain an open mind regarding the circumstances of the incident and any motive.
