Man arrested following suspicious death – Poundswick

A man has died after being found unconscious in a house in Poundswick.

Shortly before 11.50pm on Sunday 17 February 2013, police were called to a house on Pembury Close, following reports of fighting.

Officers attended and found that a man in his late 20s was unconscious. He was taken to hospital where he later died.

A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

A post-mortem is due to take place today, Monday 18 February 2013.
