The Independent Police Complaints Commission is independently investigating a Lancashire police officers use of a Taser on a man being held at a custody suite in Burnley.
Solicitors acting on behalf of a 20-year-old man have complained a Taser was used on him in a cell in September 2012, and raised concerns about the reasons for the weapon being discharged.
The IPCC investigation will determine whether the use of Taser was proportionate and necessary.
