Officers investigating a burglary at Derby station have released images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident, which took place on Saturday, 2 February.
PC Paul Wilson, investigating officer, said: ”Around 5.30am, a man entered a shop at Derby station through a back door and hid in a store room.
“A female employee noticed the man staring at her as she walked past the room. He did not say anything to her or move.
“The woman was incredibly frightened and ran to the front of the shop where she alerted her colleague.”

The two employees left the shop and told a male member of staff at the station what happened. He went into the shop and saw the man leaving through the back door with a box of crisps. The male member of staff then gave chase to the man who threw the box and climbed over the gate into platform one, and after a brief struggle between the two, made his escape crossing the lines between four platforms.
PC Wilson continued: “The mans behaviour was incredibly intimidating and distressing for the women involved.
“If you recognise the man in the picture, or know his whereabouts, then please get in touch.”
