Burglary appeal â€“ Lowestoft

Police in Lowestoft are appealing for witnesses following a burglary and attempted burglary in the same street in the town.
The first incident, which was reported to police yesterday, Thursday 14 February, happened between 11.30am and 12noon on Monday 11 February at an address in Corton Long Lane, Lowestoft.
The property was entered from the rear; five rings and a purse were stolen from within.

The second incident happened last night, Thursday 14 February at approximately 10.40pm, also in Corton Long Lane.
The homeowner was sitting in his living room when he became aware that an external security light had come on and heard someone attempting to enter a rear door, which was securely locked. Entry wasn’t gained to the property and a man holding a torch and wearing a hat was seen to walk past a side window of the property.
Police are linking the two incidents and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at either of the said times and noticed any suspicious activity.
