Attempted burglary; Sandford Road; Efit

Police are appealing for the publics help in identifying a man depicted in an efit image in connection with an attempted burglary investigation.

Attempts were made to gain access to a house in Sandford Road, Chelmsford, just before 6.20pm on January 10.

One man remained at the front of the property while two others went round the back. A glass panel in a rear door was smashed but the men were disturbed and ran off before gaining entry.

The men are described as being aged in their late 20s.

The first wore a blue boiler suit with grey piping and a high-visibility waistcoat. He was carrying a large piece of material in one hand.

The second wore a dark blue sweatshirt with a hood, blue jeans and a dark coloured hat. He had a stubbly face.

The third wore a grey hooded sweatshirt with a zip, dark trousers and a dark baseball cap. He was carrying a holdall.

Anyone with information or who can offer a name for the man depicted in the efit is asked to contact Pc Samantha Amsden at Chelmsford police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
