Appeal to trace classic Mini stolen from Shirley

February 27, 2013, 3:09 pm

Police are appealing for help to find a distinctive classic Mini that was stolen from outside a home in Shirley.

Officers have released images of the Austin Mini, which was taken from Nethercote Gardens on the evening of Tuesday 29 January, in a bid to trace it.

The vehicle is described as light green in colour and has colour coded wheel arches and a chequered pattern inside. Its registration number is ONY 326X.

PC Chris Elmore, from Solihull Police, said: “This is a very distinctive vehicle and someone may have noticed a Mini matching the description in their local area.

“Hopefully somebody will recognise the car in the images and help to reunite it with its owner, who is desperate to have the car back.

“Anyone with any information about where the stolen car could be is asked to contact police.”

If you have any information please call police on 101 or contact the independent charityCrimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
