Appeal for information – Assault – Scunthorpe

Witnesses are sought to an incident in Scunthorpe, which resulted in the arrest of a man in his 30s.

Between 2330hrs on Saturday 23 February and 0015hrs on Sunday 24 February police were called following a disturbance inside The Abacus, High Street, Scunthorpe.

A group of men, who were involved in the altercation, are believed to have left the premises and continued the altercation outside. One man is believed to have been injured in the incident and was treated by paramedics.

A 32 year old man was arrested by police and has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen what happened both inside The Abacus and once the group continued the altercation on Scunthorpe High Street.

A man in a yellow coloured top is believed to have been stood outside the premises at the time the incident happened. Police would like to speak to him as he may be able to provide information.
