Leek Assault

Officers from Staffordshire Moorlands Local Policing Team (LPT) are appealing for witnesses after a boy was assaulted.

The incident happened in Leek Brook, near the A520 Cheadle Road, as the boy was walking home after getting off the school bus at around 4pm on Friday 8 February.

The 11-year-old was approached by three teenage boys who assaulted him, causing him to fall to the floor. Fortunately, the boy wasnt injured but was left shaken by the incident.

The offenders are described as white, aged 15 to 16, one had blond hair and wore a Helly-Hanson type coat and another had black hair. All three wore hooded tops, jeans and trainers. They ran off down steps leading to the railway line.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Liz Greenhalgh at Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 95 of February 11. Alternatively, they can contact independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
