December 6, 2012, 4:03 pm

Police in Ross-on-Wye are appealing for witnesses to an altercation between two teenagers.

The incident happened on Edde Cross Street at around 9.35am on Monday, 3 December.

A 19-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy clashed near a bus stop at the top of the road. As a result, the older teenager suffered a broken nose and the boy came away with minor injuries.

The man is described as being Middle Eastern in appearance and he was wearing light-coloured trousers with a jacket and scarf.

The boy is described as white, of a medium build with short brown hair. He was wearing dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms and a hooded top.

PC Andrea Morris is investigating the incident. She said: “We could really do with hearing from some independent witnesses who can tell us exactly how this altercation came about.

“We know there were around 10 people who were waiting by the bus stop where this incident took place and I would urge anyone who can shed any light on what happened to get in touch.”

Anyone with information about this incident can call PC Morris on 0300 333 3000, quoting 137S 031212 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
