Sandwell Superintendent to answer public questions in web chat

Sandwell residents will have the opportunity to question a senior police officer in the latest West Midlands Police web chat on this week.

On Thursday 6 December Superintendent Bas Javid from Sandwell police is inviting the public to question him about policing in the borough.

The live web chat will be available on the Sandwell Police website and Facebook page, with Superintendent Javid answering questions between 5pm and 6.30pm.

The web chat can be found by clicking on this link.

There is no need to register or login and you can remain completely anonymous.

You will also be able to see the questions that other people are asking.

If you can”t tune in between 5pm and 6.30pm a list of the questions will be available to replay after the event.

Superintendent Javid said:  “There are lots of people in our community who will never make it to a residents’ meeting because the time or venue isn’t right for them, but I’m sure they still have questions about policing in Sandwell.

“This is another means to communicate with the people of Sandwell and an opportunity to ask me about any issues you may have. If there is something affecting you, your friends or your family then please get in touch.”
